I’ve taken control of my destiny in this category. After multiple times of being told “I’ll call you when…” I managed to annoy enough people for so long that I am finally on the board to teach a portion of an EMT refresher class this month.

I’ve had to start digging out books on the topic, and even developing talking points that relate to the class that actually affect them, as opposed to when I took this class a few months ago and the guy just read verbatim off the slide. I guess this is my “put your money where your mouth is” in a literal sense since I slaughtered that instructor, now I get to show that I can do better.
