Your Brother’s Keeper

In order for me to be remain healthy during chemotherapy treatment which starts tomorrow, Chris Hoffman (one of my partner medics) endeavored to find brave souls to cover all 504 hours of work time I would need to be in, or recovering from, the treatments.

Thanks to the generosity of others, all but 36 hours were filled and the department authorized me to use other time in that place (from what I’m told, top level).

To those that gave time out of your day when you could be doing something else, I don’t have a comprehensive list of who you are (Chris has it somewhere), no words of mine could ever express the gratitude and sheer pride I have to call you friends and co-workers.

You are truly your brother’s keeper.

Stay strong; chemotherapy is only a weapon in the arsenal. From one that’s been there, all the best to you.
